Odyssey holds general auditions annually in December and January. Actors seen at these auditions are considered for our upcoming Theatre Under the Stars summer performance, as well as future productions and script workshops. Performers interested in any of the above are encouraged to apply for a general audition, indicating whether they would like to be seen in Ottawa or Toronto.
Applicants with skills or experience in the physical arts, including mask, clown, Commedia dell’Arte, puppetry, dance, circus arts, and athletics, are encouraged to note this on their C.V.’s. Prior experience in these areas is not a requirement to work with Odyssey, as a portion of rehearsals is devoted to artist training in the relevant theatre skills.

Working with Odyssey:
All Theatre Under the Stars performances, as well as a portion of rehearsals, take place outdoors in Ottawa’s historic and beautiful Strathcona Park. Rehearsals begin in late June, and performances run from late July to late August. Odyssey engages actors using CAEA’s ITA policy (F house).
