A Promise is a Promise

Odyssey Theatre is proud to present in collaboration with Rag and Bone Puppet Theatre A Promise is a Promise. A Promise is a Promise is an adaptation of the popular Canadian book by Robert Munsch and Michael Kusugak about the Inuit and their vibrant culture. It is a beautiful tale about a heroine who discovers what commitment and honesty mean through her dangerous mission to escape from the captivity of the Qallupilluit, mythical sea monsters. Dates: August 1, 8, 15, 22.

Groups of at least 10 children will be charged $4 per child and will receive a complimentary chaperone ticket for every 10 tickets booked. All of our Youth Matinee performances are on Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

To maximize the benefit for each participant, we provide a free educational and entertaining study guide that includes projects, games and questions about theatre. Pre-show activities enable participants to understand the work that goes into a play before it reaches the stage, including auditions and rehearsals. Following the performance, audiences participate in a question and answer session with actors. In addition, workshops can be booked for groups, either onsite after the performance or at another venue. For more information on content options and cost, contact us.
